Summary of the Application Process
Initial Enquires
Initially you may want an indication if your project may be suitable for LEADER + funding. So at this stage you may fill in a short (two page) preliminary interest form called an Expression of Interest form. This does NOT constitute an application for funding. If the proposal is eligible in principle the applicant will be advised to go through a full application process. Equally if your proposal is deemed ineligible you will be notified and if appropriate, directed towards another funding body.
How do I make an Application
In order to make an application to REAP South Antrim for funding a two part application form must be completed; Part A must be completed online and Part B can be completed by hand or word processed. A signed copy of Part B must be submitted.
Part A of the application form must be completed 'online'. This can be done by accessing the following website, www.eugrants.org, going to the LEADER + information and then follow directions to make an application. Once completed online this will automatically be directed to REAP South Antrim.
Part B of the application form can be downloaded from the above website (eugrants.org) or REAP's own website to a personal computer and either completed by hand or typed, this is then signed and submitted to REAP.
Please Note
-
It is only when both parts of the application form have been completed and submitted, is this seen as a full application. Only full applications can be considered.
-
All project details and information will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
How will the Application be Processed?
All applications will be subject to an economic appraisal, site visit, and checks with statutory agencies as necessary for eligibility and collection of any additional information that may be required. Existing businesses will be asked for their most recent trading accounts. The application will then be scored against set criteria.
After this stage the applicant would be informed of the Board's decision and either a letter of offer issued, further information sought or the reasons for rejection provided. The letter of offer will be accompanied by a list of eligible expenditure and the amount and percentage of aid granted.
For monitoring and evaluation purposes the project promoters will also be liable to inspection from local, national or EU level personnel after final payment(s) are made.
